Important Information about Keystone split

In relation to the split of keystone endpoints for European regions, actions are needed on user side if OpenStack APIs are used outside of City Control Panel web interface.

Note that is only applicable if user is interacting with resources in the following regions:

  • Fra1 (Frankfurt)
  • Lon1 (London)
  • Sto2 (Stockholm)

Users that are only using Kna1 (Karlskrona) region are unaffected and do not need to take any action.

Users that are interacting with City Networks OpenStack services with any clients other than City Control Panel will have to use proper credentials as well as other information to properly authenticate and interact with resources. This information can be provided in different ways, but the most common way is through loading in the information from file and store it as OS Environment Variables.

To avoid complete API interruptions, the below changes MUST be performed before the following dates, separated by region:

  • Lon1 - 15 Oct 2018
  • Sto2 - 22 Oct 2018
  • Fra1 - 5 Nov 2018

Failure perform below actions before these dates will lead to complete authentication failures towards respective region.

Example configurations is attached in the document below.
